Our Vision
“TOWARD JESUS”
Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations,
baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
(Matthew 28:19-20, NIV)
Our mission for Frimley Green Methodist Church is to be a Christ-centred, Spirit-empowered community that grows in faithful discipleship, deepens in authentic fellowship, and reaches out with compassion through mission, evangelism, and the communities, transforming lives for all ages and impacting the world around them to enhance the Kingdom of God, making it real.
Mission Statement
We, people called ‘Methodist’ exist to make disciples of Jesus Christ by proclaiming the Gospel, nurturing faith through worship, learning, serving, and Evangelism building confessed and authentic Christian fellowship to reach out to the world that Jesus asks us to ‘go’—to do and to be for bringing glory to God.
Action Plan (2025-2026)
Making Known Christ
Making Disciples of Tomorrow
Making a Connection to The World
Our History
Frimley Green Methodist Church began in the early 1890s in a small tin hut in the village. The current church building, next to The Green, opened on Easter Sunday in 1940 on the site of a former bungalow owned by Mr and Mrs Hall. Since then, we have met regularly every week with various midweek fellowships, and we have been continually thriving with the support of many faithful people, called "Methodists".
Our Services
We meet for worship on a Sunday at 10:30 and celebrate communion once a month. We work together to discover more about God, in order that we can grow in our Christian character. The Alpha Course is an important part of what we do.
Books and toys are available for visiting children and we have a loop system for those that are hard of hearing. There is also disabled access for both front and back doors and a toilet for the disabled in the hall.
Our Community
As a church we have a strong history of working within the community which includes links with Churches Together, Cross Farm School and the Frimley Green Carnival Committee.
You are warmly welcome to our fellowship. Please do introduce yourself to us or if you would like any more information, please ask. The minister and stewards are always pleased to talk to you and we look forward to getting to know you.
